Weaver Residence
Marietta, Ohio
Mr. Kean Weaver purchased what many believe to be the most beautiful riverfront property along the Ohio River, with the plan to remodel/add on to the structure that currently occupied his lot. Due to insurance stipulations, the design team was challenged to select finishes for the flood plain home that were either: a) able to withstand potentially hazardous flood waters, or b) able to be removed at a moment’s notice.
Because of his background in environmental engineering, Mr. Weaver was very interested in utilizing as many natural products in his home as possible, which gave license to incorporate many different types/styles of stone, tile, marble, and granite in flooring, fireplace, and counter-top design. Along with an impressive collection of Ohio-area craftsmen, we created a 6000 square foot, beautifully appointed, soft mission-style residence for Mr. Weaver and his family to enjoy.
